Good watch.
I run about 30 miles/week along with hiking & various other activities. I had a dying Garmin Forerunner 235 that was about 5 years old that I replaced with this 245. It's definitely a step up. Price was comparable to other watches with the same features. It gives me more fitness stats than I know what to do with. Picks up satellites quickly and I haven't seen any indication of signal drop during any activities. Tracking seems to be accurate when I compare routes to my previous runs and the stats from other runners in my group. Syncs well with my iPhone via the Garmin Connect app & works good as a smart watch to give me notifications. Battery life seems to be good so far. Only negative I can say is that I found the band to be uncomfortable, which is really personal preference. Great features but not over burdensome and easily turned off.
Excellent watch. The performance predictors are more accurate than on older Garmins. Certainly no substitute for an informed athlete's or coach's opinion, but not the ludicrous statements of previous models that suggested I should pack in my job and go for that sub 2 hour marathon within the next six months at age forty-five. Great value
The only reason that I gave it 4 stars is because it would benefit from being able to display one more data item while running - only displays 3 data fields. Also, I wish it would hook up to our wifi and upload runs automatically when I return (like the Edge 1030 bike computer). I have to plug in, but I believe it will pair with a phone and maybe doing this allows automatic uploads. Again, works great and excellent value.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Other than needing juice daily it’s an AWESOME product
