Yamaha THrR 10x Wee Beastie
Hi just a few lines about anyone considering one of these wee beasts, best practice amp I have ever had (over 40 years of playing) No hisses or buzzes, idiot proof to use, you can create & save 5 settings - as easy as pressing 1 button. Its got a tap button for the delay which takes few goes to get right if you're not used to one, you can get a really good Queen, Dokken, AC DC etc sounds out of it, the clean channel also vgd its surprisingly loud and stunning sound quality for its weight & size. - Its a shame they don't do a full size head (amp) of it, I had a THR 100 head and the distortions where pants, nothing like this,this is a different league. I've had a great many small practice amp's, and none of have lived up to my expectations, this little beast is a gem, I only literally found out about them 4 day's ago, and was very sceptical, shouldn't have worried, yamaha are fantastic in every way! When playing backing tracks, it has an independent volume control for the auxiliary, so guitar and music can be set at whatever levels suit your needs. A beautiful, fun home practice amp with killer tones on guitar and bass
A great piece of kit that sounds much bigger than it's size, but somehow doesn't disturb the neighbours! It looks fantastic on a shelf, sounds great on guitar AND bass, and works brilliantly as a music player if you connect your phone or tablet. I haven't yet used it to record, but the software seems really handy and the presets are great. Ultra portable, room-filling, adaptable and incredibly customisable blues amp.
A great amp with some really creamy and fairly accurate classic amp simulations. Takes some work to dial in the right tone, but in this subjective world of what matters to each player, the customisation options are fantastic. Top bit of kit
Have enjoyed hours of playing time with this. I usually plug in and test guitars after refurbishing and setup. Now I've got this I'm losing an inordinate amount of time to 'testing'. Trouble is, this thing sounds so great you'll end up doing more playing than work, unless of course you're a player or a tutor, then it's less of an issue. My only caveat with this most excellent piece of kit is that it should carry a warning about the narcissistic self indulgence it may well induce.
