Hugely enjoyable time consuming game.
Bethesda allow MODS for their games, which blows them wide open; play without, then add a MOD or two for a second play through. Don't expect to be done with the game in 30 hours, this is more like 30 weeks. I have come across the series quite late as I've been busy with other titles, and I can't see that I'll be done with this one and trying Fallout 3 before the end of the year. This is a fighting and building game and not only do you follow quests, you can upgrade weapons, armour and craft chemical based 'potions', throwables and mines. I've not used a chemistry station yet, as everything can be found in the world. The power suit is available early on and a few can be found just waiting to be claimed - though the fusion cores to power it aren't prolific. Building settlements can be a bit samey, so I try to use different materials and layouts, colour themes, etc but what works is usually repeated. Google for any advice on MODS, and GOTY has selected ones so you can start right away if you choose.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A fun but floored adventure, watch out for the bugs!
We all know how Bethesda games role by now, my main criticism so far is that there doesn't seem to be enough reward for pricking a difficult lock or hacking a hard computer console. You end up busting your balls and wasting your time to get hold of some wonder glue, radex and a rubbish pipe pistol. Risk/ reward in this game is an unbalanced mess! Fallout 4 restart
Tried this game when it first came out and lost interest quite early in the game about 3 hours in. Decided to retry it again with the goty and persisted and it is absolutely fantastic and is extremely engaging and addictive. Looking forward to each session now.
