Not perfect but very enjoyable to play
I have given 4 stars not because it was better than expected but because its still enjoyable even though there are lots of bugs and glitches with it. The controls are sometimes unresponsive and the game as a whole feels rushed including the disjointed storyline (even though it was 2 years overdue) Having said all of that it is still a very enjoyable game, I am over a half way through and it has kept me entertained so far. As frustrating as it was when I first started playing and would run out of petrol from a full tank only travelling 1km distance it did add to the tension as it would leave you on foot in some compramising situations. I haven't reached the part of the game yet that actually made me want to buy it from the 10 minute preview that was released and I have not fully taken on a horde yet (although I have been chased by quite a few). As I said this is a far from perfect game but still deserves a high score as its entertaining and quite suspenefull. I so wanted this game but no longer play it due to how slow it is to load ect. After the first time of playing I saved then went to play again and it said something like cannot load content ( not 100% sure on the wording ) so after going onto YouTube it says go to menu at the top and it’s says something about content ect ect ect I just can’t be bothered. Amazing exclusive ps4 / ps5 patch
This game is wow. On impressions its a mix if last of us by naughty Dog, but on a bike. The will without a doubt be a second game to this, nice one sony. Got an xbox one x and ps4 pro. but to be truthful sony wins out with exclusives after exclusives, and its software that sells hardware. X box must make more exclusives or else it just another middle range pc with limited software. Halo and forza are amazing as is gears of war. But it will not be enough to win the war. Excellent game very good story open world post apocalypse theme. The infected are scary and attack in hordes which is very dangerous. A genuine surprise.
After all the negativity I saw online, I was pleasantly surprised by how good this game is. A compelling narrative is driven by memorable, complex characters who are, for the large part, very well acted. The gameplay is very good whether playing it stealthy or "going loud" with chunky, satisfying melee combat and a wide variety of firearms, traps and tools at your disposal.
