Quirky but it works!
Wanted something to replace a hanging bird table which the starlings, pigeons & grey squirrels would use and terrorise smaller birds, so opted for this, after a search. Its quirky, well made, with a SQUIRREL BAFFLE, which alone costs in the region of £13.99 and upwards, so a great bargain. Since adding bird feed to the little house & locating it on our lawn with the pegs, not a single bird has visited it YET. I guess they are suspicious of a new bird feeder, so will be patient while they recce it from afar. The only visitor has been a squirrel who gave up at the point of reaching the baffle. Gave it 4Stars as it could have had some small dowling perches added to make it easier for the small birds to enter house & feed. Will modify it myself.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Shambles.
Terrible quality. It was a total mistake to buy this item. Please never buy this one. It meant to buster squirrels. The pole was too low and the dome was too small. The squirrels were making fun of my efforts. Don’t pay a penny for this horrible product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great value
For a second it is great. Bit of a fiddle to put together but it is a second and very cheap for what you get. My husband has painted to wood with wood preserving paint and then we are going to paint it with anti vandal paint as we live in the sticks and rural rats love bird food! The house could do with a bigger piece of wood underneath for black birds to land on but my clever husband has adapted it. Worth buying if you are good at DIY - naff photo but it’s still in the garage drying off!

Value Table
I bought this having read all the negative reviews and knowing I would probably have to modify it. I fitted my hanging bird table to the column supplied as the table this one came with was a bit too small for my requirements and that was about it. The column lined up well with a bit of patience and it really is not too bad, very good for the money. I wouldn’t like to make it for the amount charged. But the thing that attracted me to it was the squirrel proof baffle. If you’ve not had one of these pesky things in your garden then you’re lucky, they will empty the bird table contents in one go.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Would have liked to buy a 'First' instead of a Second.
For the money it is quite good. I wish there were 'Firsts' instead of Seconds' The problem is the parts don't line up and the central pole will have to have the threaded insert taken out and centralised as the whole pole is offset. Instructions could be better. Showing all the parts lined up isn't the same as seeing where they go! My bird house
The product isn't bad. I understand it's a second so wont be perfect, could be made from a bit stronger wood. The bird table is a little to small the baffle is ideal to prevent rodents and cats. Birds love it

Ideal for small birds.

Waste of money
I know it was second but the base split while I was assembling it, why the upright is split into 3 parts is a mystery too as all it achieves is to make the upright bend and wobble and must increase manufacturers costs.
