Small but useful
Yes, it’s not very big. Yes, the cord isn’t very long. Yes, the hose could be longer. That’s what the bigger more expensive units are for. This is great for tidying up the work area. An effective vacuum but some significant design flaws.
Compact and well built with decent suction which seems the same with either battery or mains power. A 5Ah Li ion battery lasted about half an hour fully charged, which is OK if no mains available. However it has two significant design flaws which resulted in my returning it for a refund. Firstly the hose spontaneously unthreads from the power tool connector after a couple of minutes as there is no fixing mechanism to stop it happening (see photos). Secondly the hose is impractically short which means that you can't sand a door with the extractor sitting on the floor as the hose can't reach the top quarter of the door which is no good. Lastly the top rim of the base has a deep internal lip on it which makes emptying very difficult and messy. These are design faults that can be corrected but as it stands a two star award is slightly generous. Oh, and I contacted DeWalt tech support who listened, understood and said they would get back to me but hadn't a week later.

Excellent bit of kit great for carrying around, light weight including the 54v battery. Good suction and blowing, excellent for plumbers being a wet vac! Great bit of kit
People tend to compare this to a mains vacuum. You obviously can’t. It’s light; powerful enough for most jobs, and soooooo easy because of battery changes. I use 4 ah and they last about half an hour of solid use. Easy to empty. Great for small clean up jobs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Brilliant having mine converted to be used for Asbestos removal a alteration inside the vacuum makes it possible, then it's tested receives its DOP Certs'. Good Kit

It’s ok for the money
Yes the suction could be better as other reviews say, but it’s a great little workshop vac. Be aware that I brought this thinking it would fit into my 18volt XR tools and It doesn’t.
