A cut above.
I like this so much that I've got two now, it's great value, lightweight but effective. I use one for home and one for the allotment as can't use a mower on it. The MacAllister makes short work of the grass and hacks down weeds with ease. The spool is so easy to change and the design is good. Doesn't take super human strength to operate, it's height adjustable and has a guard to protect plants or tree trunks from damage whilst you're cutting, it's simple and straight forward, I've already recommended to friends.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Should have bought one sooner!!
I bought this as I had the hedge trimmer from a sale last summer, fed up of getting the petrol one running correctly to do two minutes strimming. Plugged my uncharged battery in and done all the three lawns no problem . It won’t set the world on fire but when your spending under £25 including postage this is surely the best deal on the internet? If you already have a battery this is great value
I already had a cordless Mac Allister hedge trimmer with the battery and charger which work perfectly with this strimmer. Surprisingly versatile.
A light and fully adjustable rechargeable trimmer with a long run time and quick charging. It adjust easily for most people, and is robustly made. The 1.2 mm cutting line ( 50 metres of it) seems very thin, but cuts quite heavy grass and weeds quite easily if you don't rush, and the trimmer is ideal for cutting round raised beds, trees, and fixed garden furniture.
