An iconic sound no digital emulation can replace!
It's not easy to find a vintage Fender Rhodes where the keys and wiring are still in working condition, but when you do, it is the Holy Grail of classic keyboard sound. "Suitcase" model Rhodes EPs come with a "pingpong" vibrato effect that imparts depth and movement to the sound. Other than a very basic EQ, it's a simple, minimally featured control panel. The keyboard action is much more slushy and soft than what you might be used to in modern, springy synth keys. It takes getting used to, but once you have the hand of it, you have the ability to add incredible expression and tonal variation to your playing. That is the big differentiator between the "real thing" and a synthesized/sampled version, where you get much less tonal variation shaped by digitally measured attack transients.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
