Poor quality product
I have purchased 3 of these in the last 2 months . 1 did not work upon receipt and was returned. A second unit had a short in it and would overheat and stop working after a short period of use. Nice compact controller. I have a simple setup, Not elaborate at all. My problem came about when I switched from the older tracks to the raised track on the E-Z Track. The Master power track has a hard wired power plug in connector, much like a USB port. Insert the RED wire Male end on the controller into the Female connector on the track. Presto! I had entered the new tech age. The 46605A fit my needs. Simply put the black power transformer into an outlet Plug the 2 leads into the controller and I was in business. Twist the large wheel , the train goes. Slide the small switch on the top and it reverses or goes forward. I think if you have a large layout, you might need a larger controller. Used but still works
