A PHONE CALL PHONE !
I should mention why I bought this. I know most folks carry around an expensive piece of kit that they wipe their fingers on and keep in contact with the universe. Me - I like to stay out of touch when I'm out and do some living. But I need a mobile for emergencies and to make calls when out. I have a powerful computer at home to do everything else. Got sick of peering at the microdot buttons and thumbnail screen on my old phone and looked for something more practical. This is a very neat mobile - well made, and perfectly designed for my needs - and indeed for those who are a little older and need something simple. My neighbour (in her eighties) was bought a smartphone for Christmas and has discovered how to play games on it - and nothing else! You get quickly into the menus - the routes are clear - unlike my old Sony Erick. The buttons are large and the screen a good size with bold clear lettering. I can use it without reading glasses. Yet it's incredibly compact taking up little room in a pocket or purse. Lots of things to like. Like the way when you hit on a name in your calls list the number pops up too - useful for updating. Loaded up about 20 of my favourite albums onto a micro-sd on my computer - because I do like to stay in touch with my music ! Again you can get quickly to it - but remember it is accessed under 'file manager' - not 'phone' - bit confusing at first. The written instructions are clear enough - except the wee diagrams of the buttons. Simple to set up - though I loaded my old sim card which made it very easy. Charging is fantastic - no plugging into a computer through USB or fiddling with a mains adaptor - a neat little permanent holster like a landline phone so you can always depend on it being fully charged - and perfect for older people. The emergency button is a great addition and will be vital for some buyers. And you can set the volume loud and clear - which I find useful. My only criticism is the lack of predictive text - but for those of us who do little texting, this is no big deal. All in all, an attractive little clamshell and a steal at the price I paid. I bought this phone for my dad who is very hard of hearing ..he wears hearing aids and he's in his 80s so his dexterity in his hands isn't great . Ideal ,compact and the "flip means it wont go off by accident
This is the 3rd tt 300 flip fones and I recommend its simplicity, size and style. If you have large fingers or used to your fone ringing accidently ,then this is at the top of your browsing list.
