Ideal First Knife
Victorinox has a winner here, shouldn't be surprising after over 100 years making knives that their kid's knife would be well designed and functional. The main blade is sharp (we ALL know a dull knife is dangerous) with a blunted tip to avoid unplanned perforations of ones siblings, pets, livestock or furniture. Steel is the same as on the other knives, a good quality tool, no sense starting off with junk. The lock is easy to use for small fingers, saw cuts well. File has enough of a point to be useful for controlled poking. Tweezers are the handy same size as other Victorinox knives, great for ticks and splinters. Toothpick is perfect for harassing ants as well as pillbugs. Philips will remove more screws than mom and dad are probably comfortable with. The color is bright enough to be visible if dropped and the size is just right for small pockets.Might be nice if it came with a couple bandaids, but they would probably get stuck on the dog or car immediately. My nieces, nephews and neighbor kids all highly recommend this knife, so do I. Really enjoy gifting them.
