An Essential Kitchen Item at Low Cost
I've been using this item for a few weeks, now, and I'm very pleased with it. It is very easy to use, has no sharp edges, the platter is a good size (about 5.5 inches or about 14 centimetres) and easily wipes clean. The three buttons are clear and responsive, and include a 'tare' button. (The tare button means, essentially, 'Ignore the weight that is already on the platter and just weigh the extra that I add.' That is, you can place a bowl on the platter, and press tare before each ingredient. That way you can see the weight of each individual ingredient as you add it to the bowl.) It has a large clear display that remains stable. (Allow about one second for the scale to register the weight when adjusting ingredients, however.) You don't really need the instruction leaflet that accompanies the product, but amusingly, it tells you not to 'jump' on the scale. I think it means don't 'step' on it. In other words, don't try to weigh yourself. If I had known how much better this scale is than my old one was (before I dropped it) I would have bought this new one a long time ago. Switches itself off too soon
These scales would be fine but for one major problem. This is that, part way through weighing, if you've taken slightly too long finding the next ingredient, the display suddenly goes blank. Does exactly as I want them to do.
I used my wife's scales on the cooker. Switched on the plate and no scales or should I say burnt scales. These for a few pounds are fantastic value and very pleased with them. My problem solved and dissolved
Ive tried out 3 other sets of scales over the last 2 weeks because i have been trying to determine the different weights of 10 - 11 - and 12 gram metal weights that were all mixed up together which has been unsuccessful as each set of scales gave conflicting results but these scales are absolutely brilliant they have Solved and dissolved my problem with in a minute of useing them and most importantly these scales must be precise and accurate as ive re weighed the items half a dozen times and each result is the same PROPERLY IMPRESSEDVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to use scales
I weighed 2- Packets 1-88 grams and 1-125 grams and took them to the post office to send and they both weighed exactly the same on their scales as this one. 10kg digital kitchen scales
Do not buy one of these scales. Buy lots of them and give them to your friends at Christmas or birthdays. They will make excellent presents at a very reasonable price. These scales are extremely accurate and well made. I particularly like the fact that when a large bowl is placed on these scales you can still read the display unlike some that obscure it.
