Ernie Ball Bass Strings
Ernie Ball strings stay in tune better and set quicker than D'Adario strings and this gage is the same as come on my Epiphone EB-3 Bass. They have great tone through the pickups of this bass . However, the metal wrappings got in the way of the bridge adjustment on the E string on the bass making you have to completely let off the tension and adjust the bridge, retune and check until adjusted. I didn't like the 3 point bridge and replaced it with a Hipshot full contact bridge that bolted on in the original position and was able to set the action lower and the wrapping did interfere with the adjustment of intonation and improved sustain and sound quality also.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Noticeable Improvement!
I recieved my first bass as a birthday present a few years ago. It was used, and I had no clue when the strings were past changed. Fast forward to 2020, I replaced the stock caps and pots and began to notice my bass still didn't sound like davie504 XD. I got these strings for their price and versatility, and they did not disappoint. I had no idea strings made such a difference to the overall timbre! My bass sounds snap crackle poppy and fresh on full tone, and more tight and clear on lower tone. I've only ever used Ernie Ball strings. So with this staying at home order I decided to pick up the bass after 30 years of not playing. The strings my bass came with, basically sucked. My favourite roundwounds
These strings are my favourite roundwound strings. They even make my cheap crappy bass sound like a decent instrument.
