    Antenna

There were cheaper models available, but this one has better features and is made in the USA. I like the extra cable length because I can run it through a side window on my van.

    k30 antenna

I tried putting this on my truck A western star 4900EX I put it on the roof and after running the wire into the cab I tried for over an hour to get some kind of match but could not get any the meter kept going up over 5. So I just took it off and put the old firestick back on I don't think the firestick is as good as the k30-40 antenna but at least I can get a match down around 1.75

  • IT'S K-40 , , ,Duh

Started using K40 antennas when I first got into CB Radios in the late sixties. It was a real prestige thing to see a K40 on the base load mounted on a vehicle. And good reason why, they are excellent antennas. I see double K40s' on a lot trucks today which speaks for itself. When I ran tankers, I used them with a two Elkin amp and they perform well. I'm going to set this one up with a Midland rado and an electronic 100 amp in my car. Can't wait to set it up!

  • Great Antenna and Mount

Great Antenna and Mount. The K40 on a Mag-Mount works well. The antenna works well with my mobile ssb cb radio. And the magnetic mount keeps it firmly in place. Great purchase for those needing a quality antenna without the ability to permanently mount it to the vehicle.

  • Just an Antenna? Nope!

Apparently, this is a top of the line antenna for CBs. There used to be the K40...but to my understanding, this K30 is the same but only of differing materials that works precisely the same as the original. At least, that is how I understand it. Anyway, the K30 (K40 sub, I suppose you'd call it) is cheaper in price (not in quality) than the K40 and works PERFECTLY. I recommend it. It works WONDERS with my CB Radio System. Clear transmission and reception. Highly Recommended.
