Beretta 96FS .40 S&W
Of the five .40cal pistols I own. Shield, M&P, Glock, S&W 4006, this has the biggest recoil I ever felt. Without a death grip and proper shooting posture I was off target 4 to 5 feet at 50 feet. The Pachmayr grip includes a back strap and creates a very large grip. My first impression was that it was too big. My next trip to the range proved me wrong. I'm not into competition but I like to shoot what I'm aiming at. With this grip I didn't have to strong arm the weapon anymore and shooting it is enjoyable again. The mag catch is now flush with the grip so I would also recommend the Beretta factory oversized mag catch to make mag changes easier.

Comfy grips
Other people have commented that this needs some trimming at the screw holes to get it to fit right. While I see what they mean about a little bit of extra rubber in this area, it works just fine without trimming at all. in fact, that rubber holds the screw in the grip so that it's easier to line up with the screw hole. These are bigger than the factory grips, so if this gun is too big for your hands, these grips will make that issue worse.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Best Grips I've ever used!

Nice grips
Bought a set of these for a 92FS, the package even stated such. Couldn't get the grips to fit , the front finger strap wouldn't allow them to properly line up with screw posts. After forcing them to work , I found that I could not use the mag release. Due to the front strap causing a misalignment of the grips .So I just cut the front strap off and they worked fine. The rear strap did not properly fit either seemed to small for the frame. All in all they are good grips , just disappointed with having to modify them to work.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Poor Quality!
Not like they used to be!!!!! Now you have to finish the screw hole yourself! All four holes needed the hole nubs trimmed so the screws would catch the threads. Two holes were not even finished in sizing!! Pachmayr used to be the "Cats Meow". Now ???Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
