This two-way HF mobile transceiver supports both DCS and CTSS and has three selectable power levels, allowing you to maximize the amount of time you can use the radio by boosting runtime and preventing overheating. The Tyt TH 9000 VHF is a heavy duty radio transceiver that can be used in a variety of different conditions, connecting you to the world whenever you need to. It comes with a fused power cable as well as a lithium-ion battery, making this radio transceiver truly mobile. This mobile/in-vehicle receiver has a full keypad microphone so you can not only dial numbers but also enter text messages as well. Supporting up to 200 alphanumeric channels, these radios can also store operating parameters, and young users can customize the settings by editing channels. The Tyt TH-9000 VHF is the amateur compliant radio transceiver with commercial-grade features. Use this TYT version radio transceiver on forest logging roads and program it to add resource road frequencies for standard LAD or open highway or freeway channels. Select pre-programming channels such as RR-1, RR2, and LAD 1, or you can customize your own channels. The TYT TH-9000 features a frequency range of VHA 136-174 MHz, including 220MHz and 220-260MHz, and a 1750Hz tone. The output power is 144Mhz 10W/25W/50W with high, mid, and low power as selectable options. It has 200 memory channels for saving your most frequented channels but also has frequency/channel scanning, as well as CTCSS/DCS setting, scanning, and scrambling if you want to find new channels. The battery voltage display will show the power usage and how much battery is left in the unit. The TYT TH-9000d model has a keypad lock function if you don’t want anything to be entered on the alphanumeric keypad. The wide/narrow band setting features and busy channel lock-out are helpful for amateur ham radio users. When you customize a channel, the unit will allow you to edit the channel name when you enter it in memory, so you will always remember which channels are which. Great Radio for a cheap price
Radio works great, have made many contacts with it. Offers all the features of an expensive radio with a lot less cost. Power is a little less than advertised, but most of them are anyway, even the well known brands. Radio was easy enough to program without the cable and software. Great radio until it developed an audio problem
I was pretty happy with this radio until I received complaints about muffled and weak transmit audio. I had only owned it for two months before this problem began to show up. Outstanding and affordable 222 Ham Radio
There are very few 222 MHz ham radios made with 65 watts Power available at an affordable price. I bought four of these for our emergency communications program, hoping to make use of the excellent availability of this band. This radio is a very good performing radio. The manual needs work presently makes good kindling. The manual needs to be rewritten in English not converted from Chinese to English. The software works but is very basic and appears to be resurrected from the stone age. Single line entries no set formats no copy and paste. While the manual does need some careful reading and interpretation, all of the information necessary to program this radio is right there - just different than what you are used to. Read it with an open mind and it will work for you. The radio itself is just the right mix of size and power to give you access to even "remote 220 repeaters". IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A TWO METER RIG THAT WON'T BREAK YOU AND STILL PREFORMS THIS IS IT! I own 4 of these radios one for each car, truck, etc... and I'll be purchasing at least 3 more. I also own 3 kenwood radios while good not as good as the tyt and cost 3 times as much.
