Tha Band From Rockall
I was expecting something more redolent of Runrig, perhaps even harking back to the glory days of Heartland or The Big Wheel, But no, this was fresh, vibrant and most enjoyable in its own way. Some echoes of Hank Marvin in the guitar work surprised me, but the overall feel of the album was pure Rory and Callum at their best, with great melodies and meaningful lyrics. Very enjoyable, and well worth adding to my CD collection. It's certainly one of my "go to" CDs! Highly recommended.

The Western Isles come to your home.
Two members of Runrig combine to produce an excellent album. I am gradually acquiring all albums by Runrig and music by individual members of the band. Gradually picking up a few words of Gaelic when watching Alba. The music transcends language, but anyone trying to appreciate the background to it is likely to want to increase their knowledge. Half of the songs are in English and half in Gaelic.
