This Samsung 840 PRO 512GB Internal 2.5-inch SSD, or solid state drive, is perfect whether you are replacing an existing disk or building a new machine. SSD drive comes with excellent "Samsung Magician" software.
I made this drive my "C" drive, and installed w10 on it. I then installed my programs on the drive. No problems; except it always tested slower than it should. The speed problem turned out to be the old sata cables that I was using. Once I changed to the latest sata cable, the drive was no longer bottle necked. The drive comes with Samsung Magician software to work with the drive, whereas other manufacturers don't supply any software for you.
