I bought this used BF2 DVD. The servers had closed years ago. But such classics deserves to be in collection. And I have all major games of BF series in my collection already. So i am not planning to planning to play BF with disc, of course. There are still indenpendent fan servers but they all have their own game client. But I bought thus DVD to have it among my others game DVDs. Such important game deserves to be in your collection. I would say that it is an important peace of videogames history. I remember playing BF2 many years in 2000s. It was best multiplayer experience for me in that times. 64 players on one server, huge maps, a lot of vehicles, different factions... Even that it's all first was introduced in the very first BF game, Battlefield 1942, still BF2 released in 2005 gave us squad system and commander system, it gave us one of first if not the first tracking of player's multiplayers statistics and so on. This game was very important videogames industry. And the gameplay itself was mucy more realistic than in further Battlfield games. For example, if BF2 looked like Black Hawk Down movie, BF3 looked like some Michael Bay's movies. I am not saying that BF3 is a bad game. Released in 2011 it was also very important for multilayer games and first person shooters. But BF2 will always be that special and important game. One of the first. A legend. So I am glad that I have the dvd.
