Years ago I had read that taking Vitamin D-3 by itself, the calcium absorbs all through out the body and unfortunately ends up in areas where you don't want it. (In the arteries and other areas where it is non-beneficial). Vitamin D-3 with Vitamin K-2, helps deliver the Calcium to the right areas of the body and does not build up in your arteries the way D-3 does by itself.
