Like This Windows Phone
This is the second Nokia Windows phone that I have bought. I was upgrading from a flip phone in both cases. I was looking for an inexpensive and simple to use phone primarily to do calls and texts. I wanted a contact list and a calendar / task schedule. I have no data plan and a $3 per month pre-paid phone/text plan from T-Mobile. If I need data while traveling, then I buy a short term data plan from T-Mobile. Because I am usually near Wi-Fi access points I have access to the Internet. No need for a data plan. I really like the local maps application. I download the maps for only those states where I travel. With a Wi-Fi connection I can find stores, restaurants, and addresses. I can get directions while in range of a Wi-Fi access point and then use the directions while driving. Because I do not have a data plan, voice navigation is not available. The Bluetooth interface connects easily with my car's hands-free system. I use voice commands to make calls with the phone. I find a Windows phone much simpler to use than either Android phones or iPhones. The Windows mobile user interface is obvious and straight forward. Apps are easy to install from the Windows Store and after installing are easy to use and navigate. The build on this 920 was for an AT&T phone. I purchased a SIM card from T-Mobile and the phone easily connected to the T-Mobile network. Several updates of the Windows 8.1 OS have occurred since connecting to the T-Mobile network. This phone is reportedly capable of running Windows 10 but there is not yet a compatible Windows 10 build. My only gripe with the 920 is that the phone has 90 degree corners and feels a little heavy. In other words it does not have the sleeker feel of phones with rounded corners and a thinner form. But its ease of use makes up for that.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
