About this product

Product Information

EOTech is world-renowned for the design, manufacture, and marketing of electro-optic products and accessories. Headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, EOTech offers red dot sights and rifle optics for professional, personal, and military use. It produces holographic weapon sights for small arms that have been adopted by various military and law enforcement agencies, as close quarters, battle firearm sights. The EXPS3 holographic sight comes with a range of features that make it the optic of choice for hunters who prefer technologically advanced options. Measuring 3.8 x 2.3 x 2.9 inches for length/width/height, the EXPS3 offers true two-eyes-open shooting, as well as a raised base with iron sight access. The EOTech EXPS-3 Red Dot Sight features easily adjustable side buttons with a single, quick release throw lever to easily attach or remove the sight. The EOTech EXPS3 features an adjustment of 0.5 MOA per click of 0.5 inch at 100 yards. Featuring an adjustment range of plus/minus 40 MOA travel, you can easily manipulate the sight to your required settings. The unit features a return to zero that is repeatable to within 2 MOA after re-mounting. The EXPS3 features a 1-inch Weaver mount that is adjustable for width variation. The side buttons can be easily adjusted as needed. The EXPS3 is also water resistant at up to 33 feet. The EOTech EXPS 3 waterproof holographic, red dot series requires 2-3/4 inches of rail space at most, thanks to its shortened base. The waterproof and fog-proof design will withstand tough environments and perform in any tactical environment. The anti-glare reticle lens coating will not cause reflection and maintains high performance, even in bright lighting conditions. The front lens is made of 1/8-inch, thick solid glass and the rear window is made from laminate material that resists shattering and that is 3/16-inch thick. The lens provides a field of view that is 30 yards, at a 4-inch eye relief of 100 yards. The EOTech EXPS3-0 model features night vision reticle and magnifier compatibility and offers 10 brightness settings, with a night vision brightness range of 1280:1, with NV switch engaged. The EOTech EXPS3-0 model features a black toned non-reflective flat lens with a hard-coat finish that won’t give away your position. Earth tones, such as black and tan, make this unit the perfect addition to camouflage gear. The sight is powered by a single 123 lithium battery, which can last up to 600 hours when placed on the nominal setting. With the average battery life being between 500 to 600 hours, you can be sure the EOTech model EXPS 3 holographic weapon sight is ready for action at any moment, whether day or night. The sight features an automatic battery checking indicator in the form of a flashing light in the reticle when you switch it on for use. The device comes with an automatic shut down feature that kicks in at 8 hours, but is programmable to 4 hours. The EOTech EXPS3-4 series 65MOA holographic sight is compatible with varying types of magnifiers, weapons, and rifles. Add this sight to any of your existing scopes for increased performance and better sight control. Additional accessories include storage cases to protect the device when not in use. Other accessories include a user guide manual, divided into easy-to-check sections, for fast troubleshooting and setup instructions.

    Great

As expected. Undoubtedly, some people will scream about Eotech and how they lied and made efforts to conceal the zero drift, and government contracts and product returns and blah, blah, blah. But honestly, the problems with zero drift on Eotech has repeatedly been shown to affect only units exposed to sub freezing temperatures. I don't plan to shoot in those conditions unless the soviets come knocking (unlikely) and if they do, I have backup irons. I love this holo. It has some typical wear to the finish and is fully functional. The only complaint I have (due to the used condition) is a couple of superficial gouges in the aluminum hood but, I think I can gently file them out for the most part and with a fresh coat of Cerakote, I doubt they'll be visible. The reticle is a touch blurry when viewed with the naked eye. When paired with the magnifier though, the blur is unnoticeable. e

    Nice but not for me

Right as you open the box you can tell it's a nice product. Unfortunately no matter what I tried I couldn't get the sight to give a clear reticle for "fast" acquisition. I tried keeping both eyes open, only focusing on the target, etc. like you are supposed to. Nothing worked or at least I would have to blink repeatedly to get the reticle to become un-blurred. I also noticed that it was especially difficult in low light to get the reticle to clear up. Eventually it would become clear but only after blinking or pointing into a bright spot which would suddenly cause the reticle to un-blur to my eyes. It is important to note that I have 20/12 eyesight which is better than 20/20 and equally important to note that I am cross-dominant when aiming. This means I'm right handed but I aim with my right eye closed unless I'm on a rifle in which case I've trained myself to close the left eye. Again, I had both eyes open on the EOtech as I understand that is the correct way to use the holographic. Maybe this is why it wouldn't work for me. I was disappointed. It's a cool sight but just didn't work for me and I really wanted it to. Might be because I'm cross-dominant. Very curious if EOtech has any research on this phenomena and how it affects the properties or functionality if at all. I hope this review helps. The vendor Huntersbargain was very patient and gave no trouble and I would highly recommend doing business with them.

  • Great CQB optic with a perfect form factor

Excellent quality optic with a precision 1 MOA center dot and a 65 MOA outer circle which doubles as a range estimator AND, a holdover/hold under point for 7 yards and 500 yards. This model also has a built in raised QD mount which allows for lower 3rd co-witness with the irons for fail safe in case of damage. Would love longer battery life but this is what these run and the optic itself blinks with enough warning time to remind you to change the battery. Would buy again.

  • EXPS3-2

I put HWS this on a Rock River X1(.308/762NATO) rifle along with the EOTech GS33 magnifier, to be used for deer hunting on the Eastern Shore in Maryland. This sight is nothing but the TRUTH. Very easy to sight in, took me about 3 rounds. Now the first dot is zeroed in for 25 to 200 yards. The brightness levels are easy to adjust from the earliest of the morning right on through the brightest of daylight. They are pricey but I have never owned or used any optics this superior and I own several Leupold vx2's and vx3 rifle scopes which are in this exact price range. I wish I could afford to one of these on all my rifles.

  • Couldn’t have gotten it at a better price. Came exactly as ordered brand new. Definitely a sale that only comes sparingly.

  • If you want the best

Look no further. I now have 4 of these EOTech optics and the company really stands behind the product. With the recalls I just sent back 2 sights to have them upgrade the optics to the new tech, no questions asked. Not to mention that I can easily hit a steal plate at 200 yrds with no magnification. They hold their zero and are a quick sight acquisition system. Two eyes open... no problem. I especially like the 2nd dot in the recital, which can be used for targets at 25 yrds and also at like 400 yrds, if zeroed at 50 yards. Very handy. And the bottom notch of the halo can be used as a viewpoint at 7 yards.

  • Meh.......

Always wanted an eotech with magnifier and finally got one and not too happy with it. My one and only gripe with it is the reticle. The single 1moa dot is crisp and clear but the outside 65moa ring is very pixilated and looks horrible. It's not blurry, just too pixilated. As a shooter it's important that your whole red dot reticle is very crisp and clear. This just ain't it. My cheap barska red dot reticle is a cross hair and it's much more clear than this eotech exps3-0

Awesome quality, super fast target acquisition. Two eyes open is amazing, also works with my flip ups. Big sight picture window, love this thing!

  • Great sight

Looks great. Easy to mount. At 100 yards I am nailing my target. Under 100 yards is really where this shines.
