  • A Classic Not To Be Missed!

The Robe tells the story of Marcellus, a Roman soldier who wins the garment of Jesus through gambling, while The Christ hung on the cross. Owning this robe, wearing it, changes Marcellus. He seeks to learn more about the innocent man who was crucified, especially after hearing about the resurrection. Jewish and Roman history and custom are excellently woven through the story. Take time to absorb this background for the fullest enjoyment. There is good reason this book became an instant success and a Christian Classic. This book is beautifully quarter bound in leather, and has gold lettering on the front and spine. There are some two colored illustrations throughout, and an Afterward by Andrew Greeley.
