Great product
Larger and heavier than expected, compared to a Omron 10-series I presently own. It must incorporate a large pump, as sounds as if it's barely pumping and it only pumps for a few seconds before it starts it measuring process. It has Bluetooth that will send the data to your smart phone. It connected easily enough with my Samsung phone, but not the AT&T phone. It's an issue with the app and the phone, and it has nothing to do with the monitor. There's a little bit of a learning curve looking at the past history; there's a delay in displaying the data that's not experienced in three other monitors I've owned. Perhaps several more words in the text of the owners manual would be helpful. I was willing to fork out the cost of this unit compared to other comparable monitors simply because of the brand and its accuracy. Ruggedness is important as well, as the other devices had failed electrically or lost their accuracy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

OMRON BP5450 - Product Great, Manual not so
The product itself is easy to use and has very attractive features, like taking blood pressure 3X to get an accurate average. It also stood up to multiple independent reviews in terms of consistency with what was judged and rated. My major complaint is that the user manual is not specific enough on the nuances of proper syncing to the app and transferring readings. I had to call Omron's customer service line and be forwarded to their software service line to be walked through the syncing process, 1st, and thereafter the data transfer process. Examples: to pair to your smartphone, do NOT be near any other bluetooth wireless devices or the app will not recognise the blood pressure device. This is not mentioned in the user manual at all. On the transfer issue, you should not turn the app on till after you have taken your blood pressure measurement, and to ensure bluetooth is ON in the monitor, you must hold the "turn on" button down till AFTER the ON text flashes ON and then stops. All these details are mandatory, so should be clearly spelled out in the user manual and FAQs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

OMRON Plantinum series is the very best
I checked with my medical colleagues before I looked into buying an electronic BP machine and they all recommended this brand and this model. I can see why now - it does 3 readings and then offers the average. This machine is never wrong. I have done thousands of BP readings in my career so I am able to check the results of the machine (and the other way also - the machine can check my readings) and they are 100% accurate.
