  • Gun Blue touch up pen

It works fine for touch up on old blued guns. I would suggest that you put it on and then take a q-tip or something and rub the excess off. Then repeat until it looks covered well enough. One coat does not seem to do the job. It you want a professional job, then I would suggest paying a Pro. This one is dark blue and I used it on an old 1933 Mosin Nagant. I have used the black version on newer weapons.

  • Great For Touchups

Works perfect for touching up screw heads, sights, and other minor scratches. Not just for firearms. This pen is easy to use, just degrease the spot with alcohol, and touch the tip on the area you want to reblue, let sit for a minute, and wipe with oily rag. That's it.

  • Worked great

The gun blue pen worked great. I used it on my replica 1911 bb gun. The bb gun had etched warning label in the metal. The letters were white and the blue pen made them disappear really fast. You can still see the letterings if you look at an angle that's because it's etched into the metal but it's barely noticeable.

  • WORK'S EXCELLENT...

This is an excellent product to restore blued steel firearm parts that have small imperfections from wear or to improve areas with a scratch. Begin with one coat and experiment to obtain the best finish. Keep one in your range bag.

  • Like Magic

Removed and replaced a front sight. Slight scraping thru the blueing so I touched it up with this pen! Very easy to do and like magic, couldn't see any scrape marks. Also held up nicely when cleaned and lubed! Like it never happened!

  • Worked great on my mossberg 590 barrel

I had an older (20+ years) mossberg 590 that would not accept a bayonet. With the pending zombie apocalypse, I thought I should remedy that. So the dremel came out and the bayonet lug was modded. However this left bare metal. With the potential of zombie blood and guts splatter, I thought it best to finish it. So I bought this pen! It worked great. All it took was one application and the finish is perfect. It is more of a grey blue for me, however I did not polish it afterwards. That said, be sure to follow the instructions on washing and oiling after application.

  • Great in a fix

Even after cleaning the area with acetone, I had to put it on about 10 times to have it take. But, once it did, it became undistinguishable from the surrounding area.
