Double sided tape
I have only recently tried this and find it so useful. It will hold zips in place ready for sewing. No pins to get in the way. It has so many uses you will wonder how you managed without it. Its really good and strong holding. Great product.

Mixed thoughts
I had seen this used to position zips. Tried it on very hot day - not good. Tape exceedingly tacky and wider than the zip. Stuck to me, fabric (wrong place), across zip, along zip teeth... Unable to remove excess tape and the item is not washable. Need to try again at more normal temperatures or on wider zips. Great idea, but need instructions on how to remove the excess.

A Helpful item in sewing
First time using this tape and it really helped with a tricky piece of sewing. It's easily torn off in whatever length of strips needed and just as easily applied to the fabric. It is discreet but you can pick it off gently afterwards if needed.
