Great for floors
It's very easy to use and has a powerful suction. However it doesn't go onto carpets as easy as bare floors. Also as you need to keep down the "on" button with one finger the whole time that you are vacuuming, you really get a sore finger. I don't recommend it for anyone with a weak wrist or fingers. I wish they had just put a switch for that like most vacuums. It doesn't empty the way it is advertised; you have to pull out the dust by hand. Still, I am very happy that I bought it because it really cleans dust well. If I had the budget however, I would have bought a Dyson canister.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Works good once pieces were replaced.
Well when I received the Dyson the motor head wasn’t working. They quickly replaced it. Once that was working I was anxious to use it, but then the charge wouldn’t hold over one minute. Again super easy to communicate with and they replaced the battery. Works ok now, doesn’t hold a charger super long, maybe 15 min, haven’t timed it. But works great otherwise. Also missing the hardware to install the wall piece but I’m sure I’ll get it soon.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Good performance
It works as advertised. It is very practical and easy to use. The only negative aspects are the process to empty and the battery. Emptying (I mean fully emptying) and cleaning the receptacle is a bit cumbersome as dust and particles tend to stick around the filter. As for the battery, it doesn't last very long (~10 min at full capacity) so you need to recharge often. In this respect, the V8 is a much better option but overall, and given that I paid a reasonable price, I would recommend buying.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

EXTREMELY POWERFUL!
I never thought that a cordless vacuum can be this powerful. I almost gave up on cordless alltogether after having 3 of them not freforming very well. This one is a completely different story. The "Normal" mode is 2X more powerful than the "MAX" mode on my other ones. The MAX mode on this one is crazy powerful! I tested it against my strongest one. Operated the other one on an entry carpet, then re-did the carpet with the V6. The V6 picked up more dirt from the carpet than the other one, even AFTER vacuuming it with the other one FIRST. The mount is super easy to install. all you need is 2 screws. Another great thing is that it charges on the mount itself. The only cons: 1. Battery doesn't last very long (probably because it's so powerful). 2. Easy to empty, but not easy to clean the canister and the motor filter (mesh net).Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

This vacuum really "sucks"
To be honest I've always heard the hype about Dyson vacuums, but never really knew much about them. After purchasing this V6 b cordless vacuum, I now talk the hype. It has unbelievable sucking power, lightweight, great accessories, easy to empty, and makes vacuuming a quick easy effortless task. Dyson V6B Cordless Vacuum does the job!
I am delighted with my new refurbished V6B Cordless Vacuum. I t looks, feels and behaves like a brand new one rather than a refurbished model. It is lightweight, balanced to hold, efficient and convenient to use as a complement to my main vacu flow house cleaner. It works extremely well for picking up dust, dog hair, walked in grass and grit, fluff, food bits and other small items of debris. It works well on hard wood, laminate and tile floors as well as short haired carpet. It does not perform very well on long haired carpet (it probably was not designed to do so anyway). Great device
I love this unit, it is so simple and lightweight. Only complaint is that the release to empty is a part pull and a full pull of the same red handle causes release of the entire canister, to clean the filter part of the vacuum. Consequently it has taken some getting used to, as to how far to pull the release just to get the dirt out and not disassemble the entire plastic canister. Great vacuum but hard to empty
This is a great vacuum for hardwood and short carpet. It picks up animal hair really well however the hair gets caught on the filter and makes it a pain to empty since it won’t fall out when I release the bottom flap of the canister. Otherwise it’s perfect for my 3 bedroom bungalow, I can get the main floor done in one charge with plenty of battery to spare, probably enough to do the basement as well however I’ve not tried yet. I was able to get this model on sale but i would’ve opted for the v7 if it’d been on sale at the same time. Longer charge and easier emptying would be worth the extra few dollars in my opinion. Would buy again!
The Dyson came very quickly and was very easy to set up and use! Suction was amazing, I don't think I've seen my carpets cleaner since I bought them! I used it side by side with my Hoover, and it was definitely light years better. Bought this for my mom and now considering buying one for myself as well. My only cons with this was that even on the lowest setting, it does not last the promised 20 minutes and some of the brush was coming off when received (though it was a very easy fix with some glue).Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

All I need to do the job
Love this vacuum, especially the wall mount which makes it easy to keep on hand and ready. Powerful enough to do my area rugs and can whiz through my small condo with power to spare.
