Works fine, recognised by Raspberry Pi OS.
Works fine. Comes with no cell or instructions, but I found instructions for integrating it into the OS of the Raspberry-Pi which normally maintains a software clock that forgets the time at switch-off. It sets the software clock to the date obtained from the internet, but can only do so when connected. You need to tell the the Pi OS to remove the fake clock driver and use the DS3231 driver. The OS knows how to read this device and will use it to maintain system time. It can set the DS3231 time from the internet, and the DS3231 will maintain it when disconnected. Your files will be correctly time-stamped.
