    BM45 End Bar Mirror

Once delivered I was sceptical that it would be fit for purpose due to its size. However it turned out that my doubts were unjustified as the mirror’s magnification is adequate for rear vision. You still have to adjust your position on the bike, in order to get a safe rear view of traffic, but you soon get used to this adjustment. Great value and I would definitely recommend this item.

    Rear view mirror

It was easy to fit the mirror to the open end of the handlebars. There is a moulded ball at the rear of the mirror this pushes into a socket within the boss that fits inside the handlebar tube. My findings during use were that I easily knocked the mirror part and the ball came out of the socket. Some of my cycling chums use these mirrors with success.

  • Invaluable bit of kit

Fitted to my drop handlebars this is invaluable - took a few rides to get used to it, and slightly fiddly to install (there are some limitations around adjustment relative to the rotation of the plug in the handlebars, so I had 5 minutes of trial and error to get it right). I'm an experienced rider but this massively improves my confidence commuting on potholed busy roads - thoroughly recommended

  • Catteye bar end mirror review

This is the 3rd time i have bought this and its a crscking small mirror, light.flexable, compact, provides good rear views. Carefull not to knock it out when leaning bike against wall/rail. Could come with spare mirror as they do wear but overall great cateye product..

  • Best Bike Mirror I've ever bought

Its a small neat design 48mm diameter, very good clear view, it stays put in chosen position, not affected by wind drag (I've recorded 33mph/53kph). It's fitted to a Snowdon 'Paradox' which is a titanium Flat-Bar Road Bike made by Enigma Bicycle Works UK.

  • Time will tell!

I bought the Cateye mirror after two cheap similar products failed at the swivel joint and fell off! This one is considerably more expensive but it has a better field of view than the others and doesn’t stick out as much. Remains to be seen if the swivel joint will last any longer?

  • Good quality at a reasonable price

I’ve fitted this to my 2018 Specialized Roubaix to help keep an eye on riders/cars behind me. There isn’t a huge amount of choice for drop bar end mirrors, so i bought this without much research/comparison. I was worried it would break easily (cheap plastic), would get in the way and get knocked easily, or wouldn’t actually be useful. So far I’ve found it great on all 3. It seems well made (aluminium for critical parts), doesn’t easily knock out of position (although I have to consciously avoid knocking it), and it is definitely useful. It’s also REALLY easy to fit, unlike some which need bar tape removed. It’s not perfect and doesn’t replace a head turn in all situations. It has a narrow field of view and you can only set the angle to be right for one riding position (mines great on the hoods, but up top or down on the drops the view isn’t great). I’d like to compare with a convex mirror to see the difference (some struggle with the distortion this creates). Anyway, I will definitely keep riding with it - I find it particularly useful for spotting cars further back when approaching a roundabout. You can only see so far with a quick head turn.

  • Compact good quality/designed mirror

Compact and very small mirror but still able to see traffic behind you. Mirror is also on a ball socket attached to the main assembly and means the mirror can be pulled off the ball socket to allow you to take it with you if parking the bike

  • Great product. Great value.

Really compact but effective mirror. Sturdy construction, good price. Mirror can be removed when transporting bike, if required. The mirror itself is quite small, but you can easily see when traffic is behind you. Now I'm used to having a mirror I wouldn't be without one. This is by far the neatest way to have a mirror - at least on a drop-bar bike.

  • Eye on the road

The mirror allows me to keep an eye on cyclists and traffic to the rear without having to turn in the saddle, a risky procedure for me! It is very convex so distant objects are very small but that was expected. A slight knock will cause loss of alignment but with care it works satisfactorily.
