Fabulous slug deterrent
Excellent as a slug deterrent when growing hostas in pots. Used it for this for many years and it certainly works. A half inch layer round the plants work wonders. No need for slug pellets or any other of the so called remedies. The slugs and snails "don't like it up 'em. One 25 k sack will last for 2/3 years.
