Wobbly, dangerous for rabbits and slippery ramps
I received two rabbits, in a rush I needed to find a hutch or cage to have them as indoors pets, this cage seemed ideal because it ensures that they have space to roam and doesn’t take up too much of my home.. However, on the day that I received the hutch I was surprised to see how large it is and initially thought that it was great. In the box there were no instructions, lots of pieces of metal and no idea which way they should be constructed. I found a video on YouTube explaining how a similar version should be constructed, so I built the hutch and slowly introduced our little bunny friends to their new home. Upon entering, the rabbits were interested and tried to navigate to the first and second floor, unfortunately the ramp resembles more of a slide so the bunnies in their infancy tried climb up - only to slide back down, hitting the cage when they got to the bottom. No one wants injured rabbits. The cage also collapsed at the bottom, when I tried to remove the rabbits one day lucky they were not hurt, the sides already look bent under the pressure. Ideal for a pet to live in the house.
Following an attempted fox attack we wanted to bring bunny to live in the house. This seemed an ideal solution. Very happy with the purchase although we have made the hole a bit deeper to allow bunny easier access to the next level. All three tiers together are really tall - taller than I imaged - so we are only using two levels, as it’s situated in the kitchen. We can leave the lower level door open and bunny can have the run of the kitchen when we’re there to supervise. The top level has a large opening to enable you to lift your pet out.
