Significant Issues
I bought one of these activity bands as the professional reviews seemed to think they were good ... but there is a significant problem. The devices seem to have a battery issue that makes them very hard to start using if they have been left unused for more than a few months (which ALL existing stock have been from all suppliers since Jawbone stopped making them a while back). I have managed to get it working now after a lot of effort and searching the internet…. you need to: - put the band on charge (it shows as fully charged - orange man - but is wrong) - pair it with the App whilst it is on charge (NOT on your wrist) - update the firmware (whilst it is still on charge) - leave it on charge overnight - take it off charge (it will die immediately as the battery has not really taken any charge) - put it back on charge and it will now start to charge properly showing the correct sequence of rotating leds) Following these steps I was able to get my second JB to work. However, although they look good and count steps it seems that there are better devices out there such as MiBand2 which I have also tried as these do all the functions of the JB plus show notifications from your phone which the JB doesn't do. As a reasonably stylish bracelet for counting steps and heartbeat the JB is fine but there are much better devices on the market now.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Jawbone UP3 - Unobtrusive, comfortable, accurate and consistent.
I purchased this product primarily for the sleep analysis function, as in this respect it was the best in market at that price range. It has allowed me to understand what measures I can take to get the best chance of a good night sleep. I will now be using it to track activity throughout the day. Although I have given this product the full 5 stars, I did think with a small amount of extra design and expense that it could have been made waterproof. The strap for me is at it's extremity (Rugby players and weightlifters take note)! which means it is slightly tight but this does allow for a good electrical body contact.
