A very good buy
I was recently given a bridge camera and I needed some guidance to decipher the strange symbols on the camera. The easy layout of this book is making things a little easier to understand. As a complete novice I am taking it slowly and I am now beginning to see some light at the end of the tunnel.It's baby steps for me at the moment but who knows in time I might even take photos of people that still have their heads! Seriously, I am impressed with the content and layout of this book. Things are clearly explained and easy to understand for a complete novice. Good introduction to digital manual photography
A good overall introduction to photography and digital photography showing some basic information, hints and tips to get better photographs using manual settings as well as aperture and shutter priority modes. Easy to understand with good graphics, not overly complicated or in depth. Some hints for improving photos with software. Canon and Nikon screen menus used but info will apply to other makes though the buttons/menus will be different. More for the casual improving photographer just moved to a DSLR or compact system mirrorless from a point and shoot with no manual controls.
