Can Dust Extraction get any better?
The Mirka Deros 915 L Dust Extraction Vacuum Machine was purchased, together with the Mirka Deros 125mm - 150mm Orbital Sander for the purpose of sanding all walls, ceilings, doors, staircases and skirting in three large Victorian properties. All walls and ceilings had been newly plastered and had been left in a rather untidy state by the plasterers! The Vacuum arrived very well packed and contained all necessary items, to start work immediately. No need for additional purchases and no missing parts. The Yellow vacuum looks the part with the matching colour coordination of the Mirka Orbital Sander! Easy to set up and came with a very clear and informative instruction manual. The controls of the Vacuum are large, robust and easy to use, especially when wearing heavy duty gloves. Used together with the Mirka Orbital sander, the vacuum became somewhat noisy, but not to a level of discomfort, or irritation, simply noisy! The Mirka sanding machine was whisper quiet and did not add to noise levels given off by the Vacuum. The Vacuum comes with a self clean system, which is well explained both in the operating manual and most helpfully, by clearly shown diagrams on the front of the Vacuum, just where you want it when busy working with the machine. The Vacuum occasionally gave off a slight 'high pitch' screaching noise after a short spell of rubbing down the plaster work. After using the self clean option described above, the noise stopped and I learnt thereafter, to use the noise as a guide to use the self clean system to clear out the filter, works great. The price of the vacuum was very reasonable for what it is and after two weeks of daily working with the Vacuum I would highly recommend it, together with the Mirka Sanding Machine(s) for excellent results.
