Benjamin Marauder PCP .22 Caliber
I bought one of these Benjamin Marauder .22 caliber PCPs in early June. I don't know what the people saying it has a junky stock are talking about. It's much nicer than anything you will find on most modern rifles and shotguns under about $1,000 or so. It's a deep and rich finish on nice hard wood. It has the look of oiled walnut, but I am not sure if it is walnut (just looks like it). The build quality is excellent and it is very nice quality. It is also powerful for a air rifle somewhere more powerful than a .22 Short but not quite as powerful as a .22 LR as far as powder burners go. More than plenty of power to take down birds, chipmunks, gophers, rats, mice, squirrels and maybe a raccoon or groundhog although they are a lot tougher and often a .22 LR hollow point is even questionable at times. If put in the right place it certainly could be effective though. It is more powerful than a .22 Short and close to a .22 Long. You don't need a suppressor because it already comes with one and is very quiet. Best accuracy is usually achieved with Baracuda Match 21.14 grain and JSB Match Exact Jumbo Heavy Diabolo 18.13 grain pellets. I have a Hawke 4-16x50 AO Illuminated Mil-Dot optic on mine with Hawke high mounts. I purchased the factory Benjamin brown carrying case with embroidered logo for mine to carry and store it in. Pick one up and you won't be disappointed. It's much better than the "toys" the big box stores sell.
