Well made and virtually waterproof trailing socket.
This is a well made and very effective trailing socket which enables an ordinary 13 amp plug to be plugged into it. If the cover is then closed and fastened both plug and socket are effectively weatherproof being virtually waterproofed. I find it very useful when using a mains powered tyre inflator or a battery charger when the weather cannot be relied upon the stay dry!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Reproduction of branded product, inferior, over priced but okay.
The product is a reproduction of a branded product of the same design. Its slightly (by about £3 per unit) cheaper but the quality isnt as good. The branded product is only available from electrical wholesalers in boxes of five. I have the branded product and there is a difference in feel, the plastic on this one is ridgid and less flexible, only time will tell if its as hardy and durable as the original product. Its over priced for the reproductive quality, the only thing going for it is that it was supplied very quickly ( well minus the delay by Royal Mail) It feels like it should be about a £5 really.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Weatherproof Extender
I bought this as my new BMW EV charging lead plug didn’t fit in my existing outdoor plug socket (plugs in off-centre to cable exit point so the cable clashes with casing and pins don’t go in far enough). Whilst this addresses that particular issue i.e. pins are central to cable guide, the rubber cable exit guide doesn’t allow chunky high current EV cables to pass through if you actually want to clamp the thing shut, so in this instance it isn’t weatherproof. It is an easy way to keep the cable tidy.
Previously, I just uses to coil the cable up and tie a cord round it to stop it tangling then hang it on a hook on the shed wall ... With this H frame, it is easy to wind the cable up and easy to unwind it ... It also will hang up OK in the shed ... The weatherproof socket is great and will protect the plug from splashes whilst power washing etc... I always use an earth leakage trip device on the other end of the cable for extra security ... Well made and weatherproof
Really excellent and highly recommended. There is a very good seal all around and it is easy to wire up and then use. I'm happy now to put battery charger under the bonnet, and plug into this socket outside. Once closed it is definitely weatherproof so I can leave it on without worrying about rain. It is also is made a lot better than I expected for the price. But ALWAYS use an Earth leakage detector on the socket you plug the other end of the lead into.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to fit and does just what I wanted

Good quality s it is Masterplug, waterproof outside mains socket.
