Reviews4 stars out of 5 -- "The band have tightened things up; it starts with Healy’s songwriting, his most contradictory and intriguing yet, frequently turning his pen back on himself.", "To keep things from getting just a little too polished, 'Looking For Somebody to Love' sounds like an irresistible deep cut from the Footloose soundtrack splashed with a hint of noise...", "BEING FUNNY IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE explores love in peak 1975-style, pairing bleak lyrics with buoyant melodies.", "It takes a particular skill in any language to capture the emotion -- the blissful highs and the somber lows wrapped into it -- without it feeling forced, but The 1975 nail it like an arrow straight through the heart."

  • Good but could have been absolutely brilliant

Arrived unsealed…. Why? Seems quite ‘noisy’ on the first track. Big respect to Matt Healy and co……… by far their best album yet. It could have been an absolutely brilliant, standout album given better production, better mastering and of course much improved pressing. It deserves better!
