CONDITIONAL
Have not assembled HMS BELFAST yet. Have been out of miniature modelling for over twenty-five years now and am aware that various electronic and/or digital gadgetry have seduced youth away from creative productivity to hedonism, leaving Airfix, Revell, Heller and Tamiya, et al. to 'contract' to a now increasingly niche market - fortunately bolstered by former SovBloc countries joining-in with a number of historic vessels from ages past (eg. IRS, SMS, Regia Marina, etc.). When this box arrived, a 1:600 scale ship seemed one helluva lot bigger than I remembered ... but many now include a set of paints with the model (phew - my 100+ Humbrol potlets in the attic will long since have dried up!), a clear sign of model-makers having to adapt to keep going in today's market. If my cat will allow me the indulgence (by not jumping on me and sharing his fur!), shall enjoy getting down to doing HMS BELFAST, and then perhaps a few Imperial Russian and Austro-Hungarian dreadnoughts or Italian cruisers as well ...
