Game of Thrones is great. Standard definition is OK. However, there’s a strong belief in me that says this product is fake. Firstly I find it hard to believe the set could be so cheap and secondly there are scenes where the quality becomes very pixelated and frames per second drop. The reason I only say this is because I pay for quality. I can spot SD to HD but oddly the quality of SD in this box set is not consistent. Please note I’m not stating this is fake as I have no proof but some things don’t stack up. Once you start to get into the story from season 1, you'll need to expect to be disappointed when you reach the end of each episode where the producers leave you hanging on the edge of your seat. This is a multi million pound production, and this can be seen in the quality of the costumes the characters wear. There are characters you learn to love and those you hate even more. No 2 episodes are the same and you cannot compare any of the series against each other. There are scenes of violent blood spills, spirituality, controversial sexual content and CGI that'll blow your socks off - watch out for the dragons! So far, so good!
We watched the first 3 or so series when they first aired on tv. We then lost our satellite signal and therefore stopped watching Game of Thrones. Our youngest kids are now teens and ready to get their teeth into this saga, so buying this box set was to start a whole-family watching affair. My husband and I are watching the earlier series this time around knowing that it is worth paying attention to the different clans, which helps keeping track of who is who as the plot twists become more complicated. We are enjoying the story-lines and the acting as much as we did before and the kids are really getting into it as well. I cannot comment yet on whether it will keep us engaged throughout all 6 series but being able to watch more than 1 episode per evening when the mood takes us certainly helps.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
