Great movie, before the Muppets went wok...
Great movie, before the Muppets went woke! Just can't beat the earlier Muppet material when it was all clean and kid friendly. We watch it every Christmas. Though we certainly focus primarily on Christ at Christmas, this one is clean and fun.

Muppets Chritmas Carol-one of the best versions!
I am a Christmas Carol fanatic- have seen about every rendition out there throughout the years, many of which I have viewed multiple times. Although the Alastair Sim version still remains my all-time favorite version (which is the case for most people, from what I've gleaned over the years), this one is excellent. It contains a mix of muppets and human actors, with most characters portrayed by the humans. I was delighted to finally get a (used) copy at a good price. Don't miss this delightful version! :o)

And this has one of the best qualities since 1992 when the Muppet Christmas Carol came out. I’m going to watch it on Christmas to put me in the spirit. Gonzo makes a great role as Charles Dickens with Rizzo the Rat by his side. So I want to say a big thank you from the bottom of my heart. Have a nice day

Muppets Christmas Carol
I did a lot of searching to find this, since it seems there's only one DVD version out there that has the full, uncut version of this movie - the one with both full-screen and wide screen options. In the other versions, Disney cut the song "When Love is Gone", apparently because they thought that small children "wouldn't be able to handle it." (And yet they had no problems with the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, which honest to God looks like a dementor...) Well, I have to say, when I was a small child "When Love is Gone" didn't upset me at all; it went right over my head. Now that I'm in my 20s, I can appreciate it as a beautiful piece of music, a pivotal moment in the movie and Scrooge's growth, and a melody that ties the plot together. So I am very happy that this version includes this wonderful song. Personally, I think this is the best Christmas movie I own, maybe even the best Christmas movie ever. The costumes are period-accurate, the humor is generation-spanning, and the emotional message is perfectly clear without being pretentious as so many movies are these days. The bonus short "Gonzo: Portrait of the Artist as a Young Weirdo" is also great and hilarious!

Great telling of the classic story. Michael Caine is fantastic as Scrooge. Kermit and Miss Piggy as Bob and Mrs Cratchet are tremendous. Should have been nominated for an Oscar.

The best version of The Christmas Carol I've seen.
This has always been me and my brother's favorite version of the Christmas Carol, which is why I decided to buy this for him. The characters are WONDERFUL and beautifully written (They even have Gonzo as a surrogate Charles Dickens so the Dickens prose is in here too!) There's drama, comedy, a great message, the songs are ICONIC, the puppeteering is brilliant - And Michael Cane as Scrooge is just inspired. This is one of those family Christmas classics you will want to play every year.

Another Muppet Triumph
I love the story of Scrooge no matter who does it but the Muppets did this very well and I'm very surprised on how well the parts were done in this very amusing movie of A Muppet Christmas Carol ! They couldn't have picked a better person to play Scrooge Michael Caine is just wonderful and Kermit the frog as Bob Cratchit and of course that beauty of the screen Miss Piggy as non other than Mrs. Cratchit ! With the Muppet music and songs this movie will bring joy to you and your family and friends too ! Don't miss this one it's a delightful movie with alot of laughs , fun to watch for all !
