    Does it's job with aplomb.

Bought for my 'shed', about 20m2, having noticed some mould appearing near the door, with condensation running down the glass and pooling in the doorframe. Delivery was super fast and I immediately put it to use. In the first 24hrs it removed 3l of moisture. Now, after a week of use, it is happily controlling the humidity around 55%, down from 70+% and verified by a second hygrometer, removing around 200mls a day. There is no longer any condensation and no sign of any mould. It does sound a little like a small fridge running in the corner, but it's not too loud and appears to be quieter than it's rivals. It is also less power hungry than any other model I looked at and since it has taken control of the humidity, it doesn't run very often or for very long. The unit is small and compact and appears to be well made. My unit is running unobtrusively in auto, but there are several modes of operation, depending on your needs, including a continuous drain facility. All in all, a relatively cheap, low energy unit that is well made, simple to use and does it's job with aplomb. 10/10

    Effective but noisy.

Bought it at $87 and the day after it went up to $110 :). However there may have been a reason for the lower price. The unit is noisy - not the fan but the condenser. In my case this doesnt matter as I have it in a small room drying washing. If i wanted it in a living room it would be going back. Also it is reading 80% humidity or more all the time which is pure bs. I have another hygrometer giving me a much lower reading. But it works well and is effective. I pulled about 1.5litres of water in to it over 12hrs and it dried around 5 or 6kg of my clothes in a cold house. It blows warm air out not cold as another reviewer has said, which helps to dry clothes. The digital display and controls are a bit temperamental but nothing the on/off switch can't sort out. All in all it is effective but mine is noisy. Pot luck as to whether you get a quiet one. Maybe the $110 variety has seen more quality control. Firms often sell products off cheap that have defects in some way. But mine serves it 's purpose.

  • A good attempt at making an effective dehumidifier

Whilst not particularly diminutive, this dehumidifier makes quite a lot of fan noise, even when running at its slowest speed. I found the controls to be rather restrictive in what they allow: I have this running in a cellar which as is the case with most cellars, is below ground: and since this is a stone-built Victorian property there's only stone between the outside sub-soil and the inside! Keeping it going 24hrs-a-day does remove a fair amount of water from the air (but not as much as our elderly Toshiba!!) which leads me to the three complaints that I have with this device. 1) Given the most important thing is 'access' to the water collector for emptying, this is proving to be a right pain! The collector seems reluctant to push straight back in once it has been emptied, and there's always some water dribbling out of the machine when the collector is pulled out! 2) This device - whether by accident or design - is pushing out cold air, making the whole room cold, and therefore the air is not able to dry out the floor and walls as effectively as if the air was being warmed. Again this is in comparison the our elderly Toshiba unit. Our solution (ait's definitely NOT eco-friendly!) is to run an electric fan-heater alongside the dehumidifier. This allows the warm air to take more moisture out of the walls and floor, after which the dehumidifier can condense the water out of the air. 3) The multi-coloured LED ring is on the front of the device, whereas the collector is removed from the back! Since draining the condensate from the collector is the more common function - the level indicator is therefore at the back too! - having the ring indicator which is supposed to indicate the stae of the humidity on the front is completely pointless as it's now pointing towards a wall! I will say the little castors are very good, and the unit can bemoved around easily. There are two indent handles (one on each side) so that the unit can be picked up quite easily.. How long it'll last is not something I can vouch for - I've only had it for a week so far! Would I buy this again? Probably not. Was it worth the money? 50:50 Hope this helps you make the decision a bit easier.

  • Well made but:-

Looks to be a well made sturdy compact unit that works ok but could be improved. What is a bit odd is the design/placement of the water container. When facing the controls and the display the water container is around the back so you can’t easily see the water level while looking at the front. Container is also a bit fiddly to remove and refit. Don’t get the 12lire a day capacity as it struggles to remove 2 litres in 8 hours. Fan noise on the high setting is too noisy.

  • Works great

We’re only just starting to use this machine but so far it’s working well All functions are working as expected. it’s noise level is equal to a fan when working on the full power and a little less noise when working on lower fan speed it removes moisture from the air as expected.

  • Only 12L under extreme conditions

The 12L claim in the spec is for 30C and 80% humidity. In practice ours is taking 2L every 10 hours and has made a huge difference t the comfort of our home. Our windows are now dry on a morning and the unit only uses 185 watts and is fairly quiet on full speed. Very pleased with it.

  • My favourite household appliance

Delighted with this dehumidifier. Bought it to get rid of condensation on windows and to help dry washing indoors over winter. Easy to ease and it’s unbelievable how much water it collects in a few hours. As a light sleeper I can’t run it overnight as I can still hear the hum even though it’s a different room. Very happy that I could buy British!

  • Fantastic purchase

For the price this is a snip. Dont waste time with smaller models this is a great size to be effective and wont be beaten on price. UK company, nice to buy from here supporting our company's. Does a brilliant job for a large room and keeping my mould on a cold wall at bay!
