SynopsisA beautifully written memoir, candid and definitive, that tells the story of Bast's five year relationship with the charismatic actor and American legend--James Dean.
I went to school with William Bast and shared an apartment with him in New York in 1956 when he was writing his first biography on James Dean. It was interesting to see how he summed it up in his last book “surviving James Dean.”
There were many things that were incorrect in the last book. I went to school with him and knew him when he was riding his first book. But, interesting to read. Hardly worth the $80 I paid for it!
