    Fine for simple use

It's cheap and easy to use. In terms of resolution and colour the results are not stunning, but adequate for my simple purposes at least, but professional quality it is not. The software could be improved a little to set the required defaults, but no major flaws. The slide loading tray is quite stiff and I wonder how long it will last. If your needs are simple and you don't expect too much it's good value.

    OK scanner

This is a low cost low resolution scanner which does its job well. If you have legacy stuff (slides or negatives) unearthed in the lockdown this is the cheap way to digitise it.. It works best on high contrast slides and cant handle low contrast - waterfalls, snow scenes skies etc are pretty washed out but people scenes are fine. There is a peculiarity that some colours, particularly dayglo, set up an instability and you cannot get a picture. The trays feel pretty flimsy but survived my project. However one of the little entry doors where you slide the trays in did not (just too flimsy) - but the scanner still works ok and is not the cause of the instability above.

  • Basic but effective

I used the disc to load the software which worked after a bit of fiddling about. The software can be downloaded off the Web but the scanner won't work unless you input the serial number from the disc cover. The colours from negatives adjust themselves for a few seconds then settle down to near normal, there are various image controls on screen, the one I needed most was brightness. The pictures are not super sharp and you could not print them poster size. The negative holders engage with the film perforations so you can't make fine adjustments to scan the edge of the frames which are held under the black plastic borders. There is no guarantee that the software will be supported beyond Windows 10, so a self-contained scanner/viewer would be a better long-term investment.

  • Slide scanner

Great product, easy to use. My only issue is that sometimes the colours aren't accurate, and the focus on some slides I am scanning fluctuates before I can scan them other than that, very happy with it

  • Decent piece of kit!!

Pretty decent piece of kit, connects directly to PC/laptop...no other power source needed. Installation with CD a doddle. Put slide in carrier push orange button and it's done! Carrier only takes 4 slides at a time, so scanning a great number is a real boring pain!! However, did my large collection over couple of days and pretty happy with results. Others have commented on the flimsy carrier and the are right! However just being careful and taking it easy, it does the job fine. For the bargain price of this unit it does the job pretty well!

  • Budget scanner

While very convenient for scanning negatives, it applies way too much noise reduction and sharpening! 5Mp should be adequate, but for serious use you'll be disappointed with the results! If it had an option to output in RAW format, its flexibility would improve. As it stands, this is a convenience item, and not worth the asking price. I can get much better results shooting my negatives with a macro lens, handheld!

  • Excellent value for money

Tremendous value for money. Overall results are most acceptable and scanning is relatively quick. Sometimes the colour seems a little bit off but generally can be corrected using the tools within the App.

  • Great gadget!

What a great little gadget for scanning in slides! It was easy to set up. I did have an issue with using it at first, but that was probably user error and the support email soon had me up and running. Very happy with the item

  • Great buy

Very good value for money. I have used it only with colour negatives, but the quality is what you'd expect. Not the highest resolution, but pretty good. Extremely easy to set up and use.

  • Good value for money

The slide/film carriers themselves are fairly flimsy and spares need to be easy to order - we could not find anyway to order spare slide carriers. Al-in-all good value for the price
