Good extractor but needs better holder for a standard WBC / National super
Well made product that requires minimal assembly (only need to attach the legs.) Handle and rotating gear mechanism is solid and works well. There are a couple of issues 1) The gate for the honey to flow out is about 1cm above the bottom of the drum. This seems to be an issue with all honey extractors and I don't know why that is the case. After extraction there is a pool of residual honey which means the whole extractor needs to be tipped forwards for that honey to get out. 2) A standard WBC / National super does not sit well in the rotating holders. The holders are too large and so although the super stays in, the edge of the wooden frame sticks out and catches on the inner wall of the drum and so it makes it more difficult to rotate.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great honey extractor
We are new to beekeeping and didn't expect honey this year. However our bees were very productive and we quickly needed an extractor. This is a great addition to our beekeeping equipment and made the extraction easy and much quicker than we anticipated. Perfect for all frame sizes
This extractor was perfect to handle the various frame sizes that I had: Langstroth deep, shallow; National deep, shallow. The item is well made, easy to dismantle and clean, and the additional honey collection pan means that more can be extracted without having separate buckets during the spinning prices. Great quality and value!
Really pleased with this extractor - the build quality is very good, and it is great value for money compared to other models/suppliers out there. Delivery was very prompt. The extractor itself has multiple holes around the bottom edge for the honey to flow down through the substantial metal strainer (which has 2 handles for easy lifting). The bottom tank has a cone-shaped base which makes it easier for all the honey to run to the edges then out of the tap. The 2 parts clip together with easy-release metal clips.
