    Nice and quiet PSU

The PSU is indeed quiet. It's identical to the one that failed and that one lasted just over two years which isn't *that* good really but it has had a lot of use! I chose this one as it does have 3 SATA connections and others in the same price bracket only came with two and because it's the same model as my previous one, I knew it'd fit exactly.

  • Most critical review

Terrible PSU. Couldn't even power an old graphics card on its own.

This power supply unit is absolutely abysmal. I used it to power a single external GTX 660 Ti, an old 2012 graphics card that takes up little to no power, and it couldn't even power that. It kept crashing and I had to end up just buying an EVGA 430w one. The 500w on the cover is a complete lie, it probably only does like 30. Whenever my PC was under ANY kind of load , it would crash. Terrible product.

  • Sturdy, Supports onboard graphics only no gpu connections coming from the psu

it has no GPU 6 pin's or 8 pins coming from the psu so you cannot power a gpu with the psu. The overall PSU itself is looking like a great design, good quality materials have been used it is sturdy and has decent weight to it. The major downside is the cables, no gpu connections at all and also no cover at all for the wires they're just all bare.

  • 500Watt power supply

Excellent unit, bought to replace older version that had been been very reliable for about 7 years. This power supply is even quieter and comparatively very good value

  • Cheap and Noisy but Works !

I have a few issues with this power supply, firstly one of the ge sata power plugs broke while trying to connect it to a HD, leaving part of it in the socket, which was a pain to get back out ! Secondly and more importantly this "Silent Fan" version is anything but silent ! Noisier than my previous non silent fan version, very annoying ! Apart from that, it works which is the main thing I guess, you get what you pay for and that is definitely very apparent with this product !

  • ATX-500 B 500WATT PSU PC Power Supply Black With 24-Pin 3 x SATA 12CM Silent Fan

Bought this PSU to replace my broken one and it's working great for now. time will tell.

  • Can't even power a CPU from 2013

Modern motherboards and CPUs often come with 8 pin power requirements. I say modern, but even motherboards for 4th gen Intel from 2013 required it. This thing only has 4. Literally can't even properly power an 11 year old CPU. This is worthless junk.

  • Good PSU faullty power connector.

Although the supply performs well, I was not getting power from 3 of the plugs. Wasted time buying replacements data drive until I discovered it was a faulty connector on the power supply. It cost we a few pounds to replace the connector - something you would not expect to have to do to a new power supply.

  • One star is unfair but I can't rate anything because the order was cancelled, which left me looking for another power supply from some where else. hmm
