Good quality dash cam
Bought for my daughter who wanted front and rear camera coverage. Bought the separate hardwire kit and installed it myself yesterday. As regards fitting, no real issues, fitting, although the wiring harness that needs to go to the front camera is quite bulky and may cause a problems with bulging in the headlining of certain cars. Wiring kit comes with three pairs of different sized quick connect fuse fittings, which plug directly into the fuse box of the car. The front camera is very clear. The rear not quite as good, but may also be due to the dark tint on the rear screen, but the images are still clear enough to read number plates etc. No screen on the camera but you can download an app which connects wirelessly to the camera, which allows you to view, edit and save footage. You can also change settings on the camera through the app, for things like the parking mode function. For the price, quite a decent bit of kit. REALLY Disappointing Software
I initially had a cheaper Halo HD which was ok, but in no way was the software up to the quality and ease of use of the BlackVue system in my other car . I have now purchased a Halo Pro and am massively disappointed with the software, presumably because I paid considerably more money for the Pro, when again comparing with the admittedly even more expensive BlackVue. Top of the range front and rear dash cam
This is a top of the range dash cam that gives you excellent pictures even at night time on both the rear and front vision. It’s easy enough to download with an extra bonus on having on your smart phone. One downfall is a memory card is not supplied with the device so it ends up being an addition cost. Good system for the price. There are better cameras out there but at around twice the price. It takes a little tweaking to get set up right, but works well when it is. Downloading via the app can be a little slow. The memory card used has a lot to do with this.
