Ok for my use- probably good for bedside unit.
Neat, well constructed, unobtrusive unit. Bought to observe front and rear camera doorbells. Easy to configure/ connect to Internet and good clear screen. Display dims in low light- good. I found that Alexa had trouble answering my general communications but managed ok with the doorbells/weather/news. I also found that too much bass was delivered by the unit making information blurred at times. Even adjusting on the equaliser still produced unsatisfactory clarity for speech. Sometimes can’t find what you want

Better than a smart phone by the bed!
I wanted a better alarm than using my smartphone at night. The show 5 does everything I wanted time, alarms, music, browsing, YouTube all in one place. Also, as it’s by the bed all the time I don’t find I’ve gone to bed then remembered my smart phone is downstairs to have to go and get it to set my early alarm.
