Great Window Opener
It was very easy to fit although I did need to extend the bracket holes due to my non standard greenhouse. The expanding piston doesn't protrude down into the greenhouse as with some models but lies flush with the window, saving space. It has operated flawlessly for the two weeks I have had it. Hopeless to fit on a hot day!
Instructions provided only appear relevant for a cool/cold day. I made the mistake of trying to fit this on a hot day. The consequence being that the rod pushed in (against the wall as instructed) came back out before the opener was fitted so that it couldn't then be screwed back into the black plastic housing. On my second attempt I had to fit the opener in the 'wide open' position and then make several attempts to adjust it in the following early mornings. What a faff!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Simple and easy to install
Having peace of mind that if after a cloudy morning, when the sun eventually shines my plants won’t bake is great peace of mind. Im still playing with the adjustment regarding when it should first open as, for me at least, it seems to open a little early and when the glasshouse still isn’t up to temperature, but it’s been reliable and closes as the sun sets each evening. Really good item only thing I’d mention is it’s a little wobbly/flexible (sideways) but once fitted fine, fixes well and has multiple options for fixing so will fit a wide range of greenhouse fittings/frames. Not sure how you would set it up as you would need to be sat in there for hours.

Efficient but tricky to fix
This window opener does work well once you've got it installed.... It says it is easy to fit but certainly as regards putting it on an aluminium greenhouse I would take issue with that. You need at least two pairs of hands and it is not that easy to tell from the instructions how to fix it and even when you've worked it out, it is extremely fiddly to screw on. Essential equipment
This is essential for anyone whose greenhouse is not very near to their actual house. On sunny days you want to limit your greenhouse temperature to somewhere in the 30s - but with the vents closed it is easy to go over 40. And with the vent open at night you can drop down to single figures which might damage some plants. The answer is the Bayliss Autovent xl. This comes with simple instructions and is easy to fit. You attach it to the vent first and then choose the correct set of screwholes on the roof connector to keep the unit parallel with the vent - this is important. You can then adjust the temperature at which the vent starts to open by simply turning a large nut on the end. It's important to realise that in the sun the temperature of the unit could be far higher than in a shady part of the greenhouse. I keep my greenhouse quite hot because I grow chilies and they need heat -but I don't want to cook my other plants. With the nut screwed right in the vent opens and closes at a shade value around 20-21 C which is perfect. I now trust it completely to do the job and can pick and choose when I wish to visit the greenhouse. However on really hot days I wish I had a second automatic side vent instead of having to open the door.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Our greenhouse is 30 years old and it still fitted it was easy to fit and it really works well. Very good materials used would definitely recommend it.
