The RNC1773 is a really great little com...
The RNC1773 is a really great little compressor unit with many different use cases. It can be used as a live compressor for instruments or vocals when gigging, to level out speech on podcasts, or as an overall mix compressor (in 'super nice' mode) to fill out and limit a music mix. It's particularly transparent-sounding, and doesn't introduce pumping artefacts or distortion unless its really pushed to the limit. In fact, at more conservative settings its almost completely invisible.

Must have for every level of studio
I can’t stress enough how quickly and effectively this unit clamps onto the transients in your bus mix. It can be a wide smasher or a gentle sloping smoothie. The versatility and insanely transparent attitude of this compressor is way way above its humble price point. If you are thinking of buying one, just buy it. You’ll be absolutely thrilled at the value on offer here.
