Amazing product for the price .
I had a 300£ engine crane before this one which I sold before I moved house . Now I need one again and got this thinking it was a throw away job after a few uses . I was hugely wrong . It's a hell of a piece of kit. It's more useable that my expensive one and you can go sideways when wheels are down. It also is safer when in the parked position so I'm not scared of it falling over . I have updated the wheels to ones with bearings from screwfix as they didn't have bearings . Nothing was wrong with them but It was the finishing touch to such a nice crane . God knows how they price them so well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Solid construction for the price
Great value for money but some false economies made that would cost cents to rectify at the factory. The lift had no trouble removing a range rover engine and gearbox. This lift is larger than I expected and for standard car use I feel that I may have been wise to buy the with the smaller version. If you don't need the 2 Tonne lift then perhaps consider getting the smaller one. This lift does the job but there are a couple of things that require attention. The wheel axles are rough and needed greasing before assembly. Make sure you put the nuts that hold the casters on the topside. If you don't everything seems fine until there is weight on the lift then the casters press down on the nuts and the swivel action is locked out. The moving end of the hydraulic ram acts on the thread of a bolt (whole length of bolt is threaded) and there is no spacers supplied to keep the ram pushing point on the centre of the bolt. I replaced the bolt high tensile shank bolt and some spacers. Much better. The jack handle is mild steel and the dogs that turn the valve are easily bent. Use plain end in jack. The coating on the main body is tough but the jack handle has just a lick of red paint (not powder coat) that just rubs off. No leaks and holds position. My new engine hoist.
Very quick delivery, easy assembly every nut and bolt was there. I bought the two ton version that can fold up taking less ground room not that I can see myself lifting more than one ton. It is certified to lift two ton but was supplied with only a one ton lifting hook I think this needs to be investigated . The build quality is very good and has a good paint Finnish. You will need to grease all the wheel swivels and spindles and any swivel pins as they will be dry. Apart from the hook it's a great bit of kit witch will make my life a lot easier,go buy one well worth the money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

rental of a crane will cost you time and hassle and cost about the same after a few days, at this price you cannot go wrong. Yes the release valve on the ram is a bit mickey, but who cares, it all works, it's a 2 tone capable crane, it gets delivered for free, I can't imagine how slim their profit lines are, any I recommend it fully, I've just fitted a pinto lump with it and all worked perfectly. construction was easy too.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice and solid
This is a pretty good hoist all things considered. It's well-built, with decent strength material. It goes together fairly easily, although the "instructions" are absolutely useless. It has cast steel wheels, which hopefully won't cause any issues. We needed a few extra washers to put in a couple of places. The kit comes with standard hex nuts and no spring washers, Given this will be rattling around on a concrete floor, I wasn't too happy with this. It would be worth investing in either some nylocs (M16, M12 and M8) or a bottle of thread-lock (which is what we used). Overall, it seems like pretty good value. For the price its pretty good. Instructions to buld the thing are hopeless They are like a minature 3rd generation photocopy of useless information, however, once built up and you have figured out how to put the various bolts in the correct place it is really quite decent. Great lifter
I bought this to help pull a very heavy lathe out of a van and it was superb. Very stable, easy to use. The wheels are heavy duty and the casters work well. The build instructions are pretty poor however, although it can only really go together one way.

A must for the workshop on a budget
This is an excellant piece of kit for the money. I bought it to lift a Boxford lathe off a trailer and move it. Work perfectly. My only negative is the lack of a moving handle . I facbricated one and fastened it to the top post bolts. Now it is very easy to move with over a ton of lathe on the hook.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
